I am originally from Hamburg / Germany, but have lived in Stockholm / Sweden since summer 2004 now. I work as an editor / cameraman and am employed at Folke Rydén Production AB, the documentary film production company by the well known and awarded Swedish journalist Folke Rydén. Working for him, I have been involved in several acknowledged documentary films which were shown on TV-stations throughout the world. Productions include the internationally awarded documentary "The Tsunami Generation" (2005) as well as the cinema release "Expedition Linné" (2007) or "Full Cover Girl" (2008). We are currently working on new documentaries to be released in 2009 and later.

In 2007 I have produced my own documentary film "Cycle of Change - Beijing, my old home" as part of my final project for my studies of the Masters course "Communication for Development" at the University of Malmö. The film, which is a documentary about the drastic changes in Beijing in its preparation for the Olympic Games, was later awarded the "Golden Duck Award: Best Documentary" at the New Beijing International Film Festival.

I have a great passion for China. When I was just 10 years old, 1988, I visited Beijing for the first time. Since then I have not only visited China almost every year, but have lived there from 1990-1993 and again for a number of months each in 2003, 2006 and 2008.
